The Colby Library, at Sierra Club headquarters, San Francisco, has historical books and early Sierra Club publications and photographs.

LeConte Lodge, in Yosemite Valley, has a limited selection of historical books and photographs on the Sierra Club.

The Sierra Club Archives are housed at the Bancroft Library, University of California, Berkeley.

A few early Sierra Club documents, including the original Articles of Incorporation and first Bulletins, can be found by searching the term "Sierra Club" on the Library of Congress' online exhibit "The Evolution of the Conservation Movement, 1850-1920."
